Instructions for oral session presenters
• Your talk slot is 12-15 minutes in total, including time for at least one question.
• There will be further time at the end of each session for additional questions/discussion.
• Talks should be in PowerPoint. We will be using Windows laptops. If you are bringing your own Apple device for your presentation, then please ensure that you also bring the necessary adaptors, as these will not be provided.
• Please arrive a few minutes early to load your presentation onto the laptop.
• Each session will have a Chair who will guide the proceedings and ensure timekeeping.
• Oral presentation sessions are scheduled in 1 to 1.5h sessions, including 4 to 6 different presentations in the same session.
Instructions for campfire presenters
• Campfire sessions are scheduled in 1 to 1.5h sessions.
• Campfire presenters will act as their own facilitators, inviting comments and questions from the audience.
• A campfire is a less structured form of discussion, where usually one or several persons briefly (5-10 minutes max.) introduce the innovative, cutting-edge or controversial topics, ideas, developments or concepts in prevention science and starts a debate about it (for example, the proposal for the campfire can originate from a Journal of Prevention debate paper).
• Please arrive a few minutes early to your session.
Important information: Just like a group of people sitting around a campfire listening to someone tell a story, a campfire session at a conference is an informal way of presenting and discussing topics with meeting attendees. It encourages the audience to ‘set the agenda’ by posting questions and discussion topics. Campfire sessions are designed to be interactive and discussion oriented. Traditional PowerPoint-style presentations are therefore not recommended.
Instructions for symposium sessions
• Symposium sessions include 4 to 6 presentations, scheduled in 1 to 1.5h sessions.
• Symposium sessions are scheduled in 1 to 1.5h sessions.
• Symposium sessions have their own Chair who will guide the proceedings and ensure timekeeping.
• Symposium leads will coordinate the session and collect the presentations for the session.

• Please arrive a few minutes early to load your presentation (if there is any) onto the laptop.
• If your workshop requires specific materials (e.g., handouts, cards, markers), please inform the organizers in advance.
