Membership
Membership of the Society is open to any qualified student or worker in a discipline relevant to prevention, including all European and international researchers, professionals, practitioners, policy makers and students who share the Society’s aims. Although we are primarily a European Society we encourage membership from all countries, particularly those professionals who wish to develop collaborative links with European researchers.

Membership Fees (individual rates)
The term of EUSPR membership runs from January 1st to December 31st of each calendar year. Therefore, EUSPR membership is granted for the calendar year in which the fees are paid, additional payments will grant membership for subsequent years. If you wish your membership payment to apply to another calendar year please let us know when the payment is made (e.g. payment made in the 2025 calendar year although the member prefers to be granted membership for the 2026 calendar year).
A reminder to renew membership will be sent to all members at the beginning of each calendar year.
NEW! From 2026 onward, the membership fee levels applied are adjusted using the World Bank Group Income Classification as a reference. Membership benefits are identical across all fee levels. Membership benefits are the same across all fee levels. Please note that, based on the updated World Bank Country Income Classification, several countries have changed membership fee levels, with Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia moving from Level C to Level A, and Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Lithuania moving from Level B to Level A.
- Level A fees are currently €100 per year. Countries include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA.
- Level B fees are currently €55 per year. Countries include: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.
- Level C fees are currently €35 per year. Includes all non-European countries not listed above, plus all low-income and lower-middle-income countries as classified by the World Bank.
- Students from any country attending a registered institution and studying for a degree may be eligible to pay the lowest fee (Level C). Please note: Student members are not eligible to stand for election to the EUSPR Board although we have representation from our Early Career researcher group.
If you are interested in a two or a three-year membership commitment, you can enjoy a discount. You can either pay for it yearly (you will need to renew your membership next year) or you can make an upfront payment (you will not need to renew your membership until the one your paid for expires).
- Commitment for 2 years (per year): -10%
- Level A: €90 (180€ total payment)
- Level B: €49,5 (99€ total payment)
- Level C and students: €31,5 (63€ total payment)
- Commitment for 3 years (per year): -15%
- Level A: €85 (255€ total payment)
- Level B: €47 (141€ total payment)
- Level C and students: €30 (90€ total payment)
EUSPR offers now incremental fee reductions for Team Membership to research institutes, public institutions, universities, registered associations, NGO’s: 5% deduction for every additional member registered. You can check the Team Membership Fees below:

How to become a Member
If you have not previously joined the EUSPR, you must:
- arrange a bank transfer or online payment of the membership fees (see below)
- complete and submit the online Membership application form (see below)
Please note that new members are subject to approval by the EUSPR Secretary who will confirm the applicant’s eligibility to join the EUSPR using the criteria outlined above. If you would prefer to have your membership application approved in advance before paying the fee, then please first complete the Membership application form.
When arranging the bank transfer, please send a proof of payment to office (at) euspr.org.
How to renew your Membership
In order to renew your membership, you must arrange payment of your membership fees, the payment should be arranged before March 31st of the calendar year, i.e. payment for membership in 2026 should be arranged before 31st March 2026. A reminder email will be sent at the beginning of each calendar year. You do not need to resubmit your membership form unless it is asked by EUSPR Office in order to update our records.

Please note: The EUSPR bank account’s IBAN number is displayed with spaces for reference only, spaces cannot be used when inputting the IBAN number.
* IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT BANK CHARGES: In some cases banks may deduct a transfer fee from the instructed amount, for example if your account is not in Euro or if your country is not part of the EU. Please account for these charges when initiating the bank transfer to ensure that the correct amount enters our bank account. Your bank will be able to assist you with this. Please note that your application will not be processed unless the correct amount is received in the society bank account.
2) Submit the ONLINE Membership application form
Only new EUSPR members need to submit the membership application form. Existing members renewing their membership do not need to submit the membership form unless it is asked by EUSPR Office in order to update our records. If you are a new member, please submit the online form below to complete your membership application.
Once you have transferred payment, EUSPR Office will inform you of successful payment and membership application.
