Joella Anupol	I am honoured to be nominated for the position of Treasurer on the EUSPR Board of Directors. Having been part of the Society for several years—first as EUSPR Office from 2017 to 2020, and now again since 2024—I’ve seen closely how EUSPR has grown and evolved in recent years. I’d love the opportunity to contribute further by ensuring the Society’s financial sustainability, securing additional fundings and projects, and supporting its mission in a more strategic role. In my current role, I oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the EUSPR, assist with the conference planning and support the Board of Directors. This has given me a solid understanding of the Society’s financial structure, as well as the importance of transparency and sustainability in keeping things running smoothly. Beyond EUSPR, since 2017 I have earned experience in research, project and team management in universities, NGOs and private companies. I have collaborated with the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and with the European Institute of Studies on Prevention (IREFREA), working from grant writing to managing, implementing, and evaluating community-based alcohol prevention projects, as well as coordinating data collection phases and student collaborator teams. Currently, I am also working as an addictions prevention psychologist at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), under a project funded by the Local Plan on Drugs of the Balearic Islands Government (PADIB). My role involves implementing a short introduction to prevention (training course) for university students and supporting the university’s on-campus tobacco use prevention efforts. If elected, I’d focus on: • Strengthening financial planning to keep EUSPR sustainable and growing. • Exploring funding opportunities to support EUSPR and its members, especially early-career researchers. • Working closely with the Board to ensure smooth financial management. I am passionate about prevention science and the community built within EUSPR. As Treasurer, I would bring my experience, commitment, and energy to help the Society continue to grow.
