Workshops 2017

We would like to invite you to submit proposals for pre-conference workshops to take place on Wednesday 20th September, 2017 (the day before the main EUSPR conference in Vienna). Convening a workshop is a valuable means of disseminating research methodologies and perspectives, and facilitates potential for new collaborations. Previous workshops have included specialised analytical techniques, methodologies such as systematic review, evaluation overviews, and curriculum training.
Workshops will run between 0900-1530 (including lunch and breaks), although shorter sessions can be accommodated.
There are several factors that we will consider in choosing workshops; these include:
• topical nature of the subject
• likely breadth of interest
• relevance to the aims of EUSPR (see http://euspr.org/mission-statement/)
• previous EUSPR conference workshops (http://euspr.org/category/annual-conference/)
• conveners (including consideration of how their travel expenses would be covered. For example, would EUSPR be asked to pay (we have a small workshop budget) or do proposed conveners plan to attend the conference already)
Please note that all submissions are reviewed by the Conference Committee, and as a result we may not be able to host your proposal. In addition to the above criteria, as convening workshops is associated with costs for EUSPR, budgetary considerations are also taken into account.
Colleagues with ideas, whether tentative or clearly formulated, are strongly encouraged to discuss these informally with Harry Sumnall.
You are invited to submit proposals using this form. These should be emailed using the PDF form by 8th May 2017.
